I only ever wanted one family dog, but my wife wanted more...so she tricked me by taking in a foster pup...that looked identical to Bo, and seeing as Bo was already 13 years old, I had no other choice...Thai would become our first foster failure...I say first because she would not be the last.
Over the course of a few years, we added Alex, Blue Heeler mix and Phantom, Australian Sheppard to the family...making us a 3 dog family...it did not end there...In Spring of 2019 we were asked to take in another foster dog...Kenya, a Pitty Mix...she is not a foster anymore...we are now a 4 dog family.
My background is in customer service and that was my focus when starting this business with my wife. I wear many hats, but with our amazing team backing us up, I truly feel blessed.
Currently I reside with 4 pups, 2 cats and 2 human children along with my husband, and fellow co-owner.
We absolutely ADORE every single animal that comes into our care, treating each one as if they are our own.
Sitting on the board for a rescue and hosting various events, sponsoring rescues means the world to me.
Dogs are a HUGE part of my life and my world revolves around them. I LOVE animals!
Shortly, after starting at Paw Butler, I was blessed to be able to adopt a second handsome little man, Zap, who is a Labrador Retriever mix that is almost 3 years old.
Over the years I've learnt the one of the most important things when it comes to dogs is patience. If you're willing to be patient with your pup(s) then they will give you the world.
I left my job, in corporate retail, to work full time with dogs, at PawButler, and have never looked back. I've been able to learn so much here about things I would have never thought of before. I now have three pups who's happiness have become my world!
I often tell people I have three kids. I am very fortunate to have made so many happy friends who arrive smiling and leave smiling every day.
I joined Paw Butler due to my love of dogs, and it allows me to play with dogs all day long ! Seeing dogs that used to be nervous and scared at the park come out of their shells and start playing with the other dogs is one of the greatest joys working here !
I'd have to say that watching a dog's face light up, as something excites them, is what really makes me love dogs, you can almost see fireworks going off inside their head!
I was born and raised in Calgary – Yup a true Calgarian - and have always had fur babies in my life.
My background has been corporate and I have spent the majority of my days inside those office walls. At that time, I had a crazy, fun beautiful Border Collie named Jackson who will always hold a special place in my heart.
Working at PAWBUTLER gives me the opportunity to keep these adorable fur babies company while their parents are away or at work.
My day is spent with loyal, devoted, affectionate fur babies that smile and love you unconditionally. That makes this human very happy at the end of the day!
I can honestly say I love my job, I enjoy going to work everyday and feel like this is what I was meant to do. It took a long time and a few jobs but I am finally there, where work is not work it is just something I love to do.
